An immersive opera presented in a gallery space full of projections and retro TVs, displaying AI-generated visions of Wonderland

Presented as the U.S. premier of Elizabeth Raum’s opera The Garden of Alice, this production is a journey down the digital rabbithole of virtual realities and identities, and one woman’s quest for truth within a darker, internet version of Wonderland. This piece is neither critical nor blindly accepting  of the many faces of the digital web – instead, it seeks to uncover and investigate the layers hidden behind them. Projection design for the show was created to be heavily based on AI-generated imagery responding to text-based prompts from Wonderland, manually rearranged and reimagined into collages, sequences, and novel designs.
